The client is a global leader in financial and operational reporting solutions, supporting CFOs, controllers, and finance teams with data access, reporting, and analysis tools that integrate seamlessly with ERP systems. As a fast-growing company expanding across North America, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa through acquisitions, its need for scalable systems, clean CRM data, and lead generation support became undoubtedly urgent.

Client's Challenge

In early May 2019, the Client partnered with V360 to address critical challenges within their APAC database. The existing CRM records needed to be updated to ensure correct and sufficient new contacts and accounts. Recognizing that effective lead generation is highly dependent on the quality and integrity of the database, the Client sought a cost-efficient partner capable of delivering scalable data cleansing and enrichment solutions.

As the organization continued to expand through acquisitions, similar data quality issues emerged across the EMEA region. In addition to an unclean database, the growing volume of CRM data significantly increased the complexity of data management efforts. This resulted in a continuous influx of duplicate records and inaccurate data, further impacting the reliability and usability of the CRM system.

Our Role and Strategic Approach

V360 began with two Business Development Assistants (BDAs) in APAC focused on outbound lead generation and cold call invitations for regional events. Over time, our role expanded into a fully integrated business support function spanning: 

Database Acquisition, Building New Contacts and Accounts, and Profiling of Specific ERP

  • Built and maintained contact databases from scratch, creating new accounts and profiles as needed.
  • Sourced new contacts in regions such as the Middle East and South Africa, ensuring alignment with ERP segmentation. 
  • Cleaned and enriched databases through a combination of calling, online research, and database tools. As the process evolved, we recommended and integrated tools like Lusha to improve efficiency
    and accuracy.

     

CRM Data Management & Enrichment

  • Removed duplicates, corrected contact details, and
    standardized entries.
  • Integrated data across new acquisitions into Salesforce.
  • Maintained ERP-profiled accounts for precise targeting, with ongoing record cleaning and updates.

     

Campaign Support & Lead Management

  • Handled the administrative and time-consuming aspects of MQL management, freeing managers to focus on strategy. Despite the challenge of constantly changing MQL rules, we built systems to ensure all needs were met efficiently.
  • Maintained accurate, up-to-date, and well-organized data, segmenting contacts according to campaign requirements to ensure precise targeting and effective outreach.
  • Created detailed reports using Salesforce, Excel, or a combination of both, providing full visibility into all activities. Every action was tracked down to the smallest detail, giving the client confidence in our work.

     

Systems Development

  • Implemented regular quality assurance and reporting systems.
  • Established an internal V360 QA process to ensure data quality and accuracy before updates are pushed to CRM.
  • Built a scalable model to continuously acquire and qualify new leads, as well as maintain and enrich existing data in the CRM.
     

V360’s team had grown to 15 BDAs for EMEA and APAC, with a dedicated Team Lead and QA manager, supporting the client’s sales and
marketing growth.
